Sony Unveils APS-C E-mount 16-55mm f/2.8 and 70-350mm f/4.5-6.3

Sony has announced two new E-mount lenses for its APS-C mirrorless cameras: the 16-55mm f/2.8 Gand the 70-350mm f/4.5-6.3 G OSS.

Sony E 16-55mm f/2.8 G

The new Sony E 16-55mm f/2.8 G is designed to be a versatile workhorse lens for crop body cameras, featuring a 35mm equivalent focal range of 24-82.5mm (wide-angle to portrait) and a constant f/2.8 maximum aperture.

Features of the lens include a 0.2x maximum magnification, a minimum focus distance of 1.08ft (33cm), an AF/MF switch, a filter thread size of 67mm, four aspherical elements, three extra-low dispersion elements (for reducing color fringing and chromatic aberrations), a quick and quiet XD Linear Motor, dust and moisture sealing, a fluorine coating that resists dust/moisture/fingerprints, customizable focus hold buttons, and a rounded 9-blade aperture for beautiful bokeh.
